Stephen Ministers are not counselors or therapists; rather, they are caring Christians trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, confidential, Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister provides care to one individual, meeting with that person weekly for about an hour. Twice a month, Stephen Ministers gather with their Stephen Leaders for supervision and continuing education. With Stephen Ministry, people no longer have to go through crises and difficulties alone. Instead, they can have a caring Christian walk alongside them for as long as necessary, providing the emotional and spiritual care they need.
